Stephen C. Page is one of the founding shareholders of the Firm. For twenty-three years, Steve practiced with the Firm of Gunster, Yoakley, & Stewart, P.A., and for a number of years served as Chairman of its Executive Committee, leaving to found Page, Mrachek, Fitzgerald & Rose in February 2000. Steve was selected by his peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America, in the areas of Commercial Litigation and Intellectual Property Law, Florida’s Legal Elite, and Florida SuperLawyers magazine in the areas of Business Litigation and Intellectual Property Litigation. Steve routinely represents the Firm’s clients in both state and federal courts, as well as representing clients in arbitrations, mediations, and before administrative panels. Steve practices in the areas of Complex Commercial and Business Litigation with an emphasis on Probate Litigation, Intellectual Property Litigation, Environmental Litigation, Land Use Disputes, Securities Litigation and Professional Malpractice Defense. Steve routinely serves as a general counselor to a number of corporations and real estate developers. His extensive experience representing several of the Firm’s largest corporate clients, includes representation of several national pharmaceutical companies in their intellectual property, trade secrets, and product liability disputes in both state and federal courts throughout the country. Over the years, Steve’s practice has encompassed the defense and prosecution of numerous claims on behalf of the firm’s financial institution clients, as well as representing several of the Firm’s high-net worth clients in trust and estate disputes. A resident of Stuart for over 30 years, Steve has been, and remains, an active member of the Martin County business and legal community. When not at work, Steve and his wife enjoy boating and fishing in the Sailfish Capital of the World.
Representative Experience
- Served as special counsel toMartinCountyon numerous matters, including land use disputes, from 1983 to the present.
- Represented national pharmaceutical companies in both state and federal proceedings concerning intellectual property (patent and trademark infringement) and trade secrets disputes, licensing disputes, product disputes, and FDA approval proceedings.
- Represented national athletic company in multi-million dollar patent and trade secrets dispute.
- Routinely represents clients in business disputes involving shareholder, corporate dissolutions and non-compete clauses.
- Routinely represents national and state financial institutions, including the RTC, in various disputes.
- Represents Firm clients in probate and trust disputes throughout Florida.
- Successfully settled several multi-million dollar trust and estate disputes for one of the Firm’s high-net worth clients.
- Successfully represented foreign international company in multi-million dollar contract, licensing, and intellectual property dispute in federal court.
- Routinely represents developers, including recent representation of developers of large projects in many different kinds of disputes.
- Successfully prosecuted claims on behalf of one of the largest cement companies in the United States in state environmental litigation involving groundwater contamination.
